Results from our visual media content analysis

We conducted a statistical and visual media content analysis on eight leading women's magazines The Australian Womens Weekly, Marie Claire, OK, Better Homes and Gardens, Vogue Living, Take 5, Health and Fitness and Australian Womens Health. The five categories of our analysis were work, self image, free time, relationships and health. The findings were very interesting, some sat issues were consistent with results from our survey and some appeared quite contradictory.

Take a look and see for yourselves how women are being portrayed through the media in these categories and whether or not you think they are realistic representations or not.
